Every idea you have; Every object you possess; Every step you take;

Must all be a part of your future vision.

Needs, aims, and desires, you own all of it. Everything a product stands for is in your hands. We live in a world where nothing lasts forever, Where things are easily broken and quickly outdated. Even life itself has proven its fragility, succumbing to the situation of a pandemic.

I claim one only product; The future. Your future. Our future.

Do not reminisce in regret, thinking “The future was this…?”, all because you couldn’t predict what would become of your everyday life. I urge you to not disguise your life with venal things; to make better versions of your past. We are obsessed with making projections of a present that we paid little attention to in the past.

Into this manifesto, you will find ideas that show how the industry must change to serve people.  To help them focus on creating their own futures, instead of trying to create objects of desire. Ideas that will help them change their consumer habits and reach their future.

THE STARTING POINT

Every object has a different wire that attaches you to its reality. In technology it is called “type” and it is just one out of a hundred examples on how to make slaves.

Do you want to be dependant?

Let’s take a trip down memory lane… Imagine being a kid again. Come back to those times when, with a wooden stick, you could be whoever, and a million wars could be held with just a few kitchen aids. It’s just your imagination and ideas that move you forward. You grow because it’s you asking yourself what you need.

And then you start watching TV sports and playing against, yes…against, an instruction booklet. They told you how you have to play, then they told you how to support the game; by buying batteries. They showed you how fragile everything was, without you clearly understanding what materials they are made of, or why these things get broken so easily.

The industry shows you how to change, update or upgrade a set of words that centrally mean, “please support us”.

And just like that *snap*, the trainng is complete. They have another slave in the system, one that’s loyal, respectful, and regularly seeks to pursue common happiness. We have brands, performance, quality, luxury and so on. All these made just to attract you, by showing how easy and comfortable life could be for you.

But we also have competition, and that is basically what we call society.

Money is what connects us all. We all work for money, earn money, save money, invest money, and then spend money for the most part. And this cycle will continue forever. Repeating itself over and over again. It can be said that technology is the newest negativity in our lives.

So evil in fact, that it makes us move from one point to another with our eyes constantly glued to the screen of a smartphone or tablet, not caring whether we are walking or driving.

And this technology pretends to create our reality by knowing us better than ourselves. Please take this manifesto as a warning, to be the owner of a real product. Your future.

BRANDING

Choose a brand to dress in, and that brand will wear you. Place it in your kitchen, living room, or in your car and it will own that space, talking about the kind of person that lives there.

You will work in the future. Their values will be upon yours, shaping your own future.

You can always wear that feeling under a quality excuse, but it really is just our ineptitude, a quick fix for us to get instant gratification rather than a long term cure no matter what the price is.

Beware of pretending to be someone you are not. That takes you far from your own future in many ways. To live a life that is not yours, and paying for it at the cost of your own precious time. Your time is the most valuable currency you have. It will get you far, you just have to spend it wisely. On Your Future.

EDUCATION

They say today’s readers are tomorrow’s leaders, so choose a high school and learn. Pretend to be paid because your education is what sets the stage for your future. Some say it’s too expensive, but try ignorance and see what happens next. The money might pay you contacts but it will not pay you the future.
